Product Description
Craftsman Series all leather hand-stitched holsters start at just $159.99! These are not your average holsters found at the big box stores. These are custom handmade premium leather holsters. Made in Colorado, USA.
The Redeemer Slide™ OWB Craftsman Series Holster is an outside the waistband pancake style belt slide holster that holds tightly to your body. This pancake holster is low profile and slim for easy concealment under a cover garment. It holds very tightly to the body by design and is incredibly comfortable. This holster features a full sweat shield to increase comfort and shield sweat and oil from your weapon. The thumb break snap provides Level II retention of your weapon. Adjustable retention can be added to this holster from most weapon combinations for $10.00. It also features a stiffening strap across the front of the holster to keep the mouth of the holster open for holstering. The Redeemer features 1.5" or 1.75" belt slots that are punched so the holster rides at a 12-15° cant. It has just enough cant to make the draw and re-holstering feel natural.
The Redeemer can be worn at any position that feels comfortable to you. We suggest just behind your strong side hip in the 3:30 to 4:30 o'clock position, for a right-handed shooter.
Our all leather holsters use premium Hermann Oak leather. Hermann Oak is widely regarded as the top tannery in the U.S. We start with a 10-11 ounce steer hide for our standard holsters. The leather is hand-skived to achieve the proper thickness. Hermann Oak has been a U.S. company since 1881.
Horse hide is also available. Our horse hide comes from Horween Leather. They have also been around for over 100 years (founded in 1905). Horween produces very high quality vegetable tanned horse hide in 7-9 ounce.
Leather Colors: Our standard leather colors are black, dark brown, dark brown antique, saddle tan, and Roughout (Flesh side out) Horse hide. All holsters are custom cut and dyed after your order is placed. Custom colors are available. Please call.
Stiffeners: Stiffeners around the mouth of the holster help to keep the holster open for easy re-holstering. The stiffener can be dyed a different color for a two tone apperance. For example, roughout horse hide looks nice with a grain (smooth) side out stiffener for a two-tone appearance. We can also do exotics and embossed faux exotics for the stiffener. By default, the stiffener matches the finish and material of the holster. If you'd like to customize this, please give us a call to discuss the options.
Stitching: Custom all leather holsters can be stitched in black or white thread. If you have a special request, please call to inquire. If it is available from one of our vendors, we can get it in for you. All leather holsters use a saddle stitch. Every hole is punched by hand, and every stitch is made by hand. This results in a very strong stitch bond between the different layers of leather. Each layer of leather is also glued with Barge cement prior to stitching. A single-stitched holster has one line of stitching around the weapon and light/laser (as applicable). A double-stitched holster has two lines of stitching around the weapon/light/laser to provide reinforcment for the stiching and results in a holster that will last many years.
Holster Lining: We typically recommend lining all leather holsters with a material that will minimize holster wear and make drawing the weapon more smooth. Many places use suede, which we do not use. We use a premium veg-tanned cow hide (mostly calf 2-3 ounce) for our linings. The lining is bonded to the exterior with Barge cement and reinforced with stitching. Some of our holsters are made with two layers of 5-6 ounce veg-tanned leather glued together on the flesh side, which results in the grain (smooth) side of the leather on the inside and outside of your holster. Either construction method gives you a lined holster that provides a very smooth surface when drawing and re-holstering your pistol. Rough out Horse hide holsters are not lined since the grain (smooth) side of the leather is inside against your weapon. Rough out Horse hide has the flesh side of the hide on the outside of the holster. This gives a suede-like appearance for our horse hide holsters.
Leather Edges: The leather edges are sanded, dyed to match the holster, burnished and sealed to protect the edges and keep them looking nice for years.
Lights and Lasers: For Weapons equipped with Rail Mount Universal Lasers/Lights or Weapon Specific Trigger Guard Lights/Lasers, please visit https://www.exarchyholsters.com/product-page/universal-light-laser-add-on and add your light/laser to the cart. Viridian Instant On is avaiable on our custom all leather holsters. Please add the applicable light/laser model to your cart prior to purchase. This does not include the actual light/laser.
Please call us to discuss other options or if you have questions.
